thinking like a liberal
Since the libs always want to place blame first, and it is usually misguided, here I go in my liberal style blame game. CINDY SHEEHAN is responsible, if she wouldn't have demanded all this press coverage, then the people of New Orleans would have been more aware of the situation and had an orderly, early evacuation. So we should also blame Natalee Holloway. Wow that is easy. But I guess that is what being a liberal is all about, making stupid theories and making yourself feel better by buying into said stupid theory.

I appreciate your comments Nathan, but while you want to be critically minded, lets explore the failure of democratic social policy. New Orleans(NOLA) has the lowest rated schools in the country, high crime and murder rates, and a tremendous amount of poverty. NOLA has had democratic leadership at the city and state level for over 60 years. You would figure that this would be a social utopia. The democratic "Great Society" has proven to be a tremendous failure in NOLA, by witness to the current(or at least as of 3 weeks ago) economic status of many of its citizens. When let the government be responsible for more and more aspects of someones life, they are due for a let down. The federal bureacracy is to huge and we see the problems with operating a huge bureacracy in a time of need. It is slow moving. Care to guess the response time to Hurrican Hugo by FEMA in the coastal Carolina region? 3-4 weeks!
What I am trying to say is that we can't expect the Federal Government to do everything.
